Calls that say who you are, both directions.
Register your business name on your number so it shows on customers’ phones when you call. Inbound, Ody shows the caller’s name too, and if they’re in your contacts, your name for them wins.
Included on every Ody plan. Outbound CNAM is available on US numbers, a carrier limitation.
OUTBOUND CNAM
Answer rates start with the caller ID.
An unknown number gets screened. A named business gets answered. Setting your outbound caller ID name registers your business with US carriers, so it appears on recipients’ phones the moment you call from your Ody number.
INBOUND
Inbound names, with your contacts first.
Incoming calls show the caller’s carrier-registered name when one exists. If the number matches one of your contacts, the contact’s name is what you see, everywhere.
TWO MINUTES
How to set it up.
Open Settings, then Numbers, and pick a number.
Choose Caller ID and enter your business name (up to 15 letters, digits, or spaces).
Save. The name is registered with carriers and propagates over a few days.
Inbound caller names are on automatically; your contacts always take precedence.
FAQ
Caller ID, answered.
Carriers typically take a few days to propagate a new or changed CNAM listing across their databases. Ody submits it immediately when you save.
